Website settings and SEO

Configure site identity, homepage behaviour, archives and indexing.

General settings

Configure site title, tagline, default language for new pages, general display timezone, date/time formats and calendar week start. Existing bilingual paths and each administrator's interface language remain independent. The appointment system has its own BOOKING_TIMEZONE. Changing a general date-display setting does not silently reschedule existing appointments.

Site icon

Upload a validated raster image. The CMS centre-crops and re-encodes favicon PNGs at 512, 180 and 32 pixels. The original media file is preserved. Remote image URLs, executable files and uploaded SVGs are not processed as favicons.

Reading settings

Choose the active starter homepage, a published static homepage separately for each language, or the latest-articles archive. Set archive pagination between 1 and 50 articles per page. Missing, deleted or unpublished selected homepages fall back to the theme rather than exposing a draft. Published archives exclude trashed and draft articles.

Search visibility and metadata

Page descriptions, canonical metadata and bilingual relationships support search-friendly presentation. Review content paths, semantic headings, image alternatives and sitemap output for the actual site. Discourage indexing sets noindex headers and robots.txt behaviour. It does not restrict visitors or guarantee removal from existing search results. Development and preview blocking remains independent of the dashboard setting.

Public URL versus code location

The public origin controls generated metadata. The application address is deployment-controlled. The code may live in another filesystem directory while the server exposes only public/ at the domain root. Changing the public origin does not edit DNS, obtain a certificate, move files or rewrite hard-coded imported URLs. URL-subdirectory installations are not currently supported without a separate route/asset review.
