Media and image assets
Upload local raster assets and create non-destructive optimised variants.

Media library
Use Media → Library to browse images or its upload shortcut to add a file. The library recognises local JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF images in supported asset directories. Uploaded assets are public when used on the website; do not upload confidential documents or patient images. Supported library roots include /demo-media/, /optimized-images/, /assets/starters/ and the library, editor and variant folders under /uploads/. Files outside approved locations and symbolic-link escapes are not accepted as library images.
Image variants
Select a library image and choose output width, aspect ratio, focal position and quality. A new hashed WebP file is created; the source image is retained. Identical settings reuse the same variant rather than repeatedly encoding it.
| Control | Current values |
|---|---|
| Width | 160–2560 pixels, without upscaling the source crop |
| Aspect ratio | auto, 1/1, 4/3, 3/2, 16/9 |
| Focal position | center, top, bottom, left, right |
| WebP quality | 50–90 |
| Source processing limit | 16 megapixels and 10 MB, subject to server memory |
Asset quality and accessibility
Choose an image size appropriate to the display area. An image URL is not an alternative text description: provide useful alt text, preserve intrinsic dimensions where possible and use empty alt text only for decorative images. Image transformations require GD with WebP support. Memory and upload budgets can reject a file before processing. Resize very large source images locally; increasing server limits is not the first solution.
Separate frontend assets
Image paths returned inside published HTML belong to the CMS host. Resolve relative URLs against the CMS origin in a separate frontend. Starter styles and font settings do not automatically transfer to another framework. Never allow executable uploads. Keep upload script-denial configuration and the public/private filesystem boundary intact when deploying.
